So if you watched the news last night or today, you probably heard about the flooding in North Texas. And if you listened really closely, you may have heard them mention some flooding in the town of Sherman. Sherman is most well know for being the birth place of me - and probably some other stuff, too.
Anyway, parts of the town are very hilly, and there are creeks that run through it. My mom lives on a street that is not the highest, but it's close to the top of one of the big hills. These pictures are from her front yard. They were kind of dark on my PC, so I'm not sure how well they'll show up. She's the second house from the corner, and basically, if you go left from her driveway, you'll hit the cross street (or in this case, the cross river). The house across the cross street is almost covered with water. Mom said that her back yard was like a waterfall. Since she's not the highest spot on the hill, water was racing down her backyard toward her house. It got up to the patio, but luckily not in the house.
